Does everyone need the extension?
Yes. Everyone joining a party needs Viewparty installed in Chrome on their computer and a Viewparty account.
Do we each need a streaming subscription?
Everyone needs their own access to the video, including a subscription where required. Viewparty synchronizes playback; it does not provide movies or share streaming accounts.
Can I use it on my phone?
Viewparty is currently a desktop Chrome extension. Open this website in Chrome on your computer to install it.
What if playback is not syncing?
Check that everyone is on the same video and has joined the same room. Start the video once to allow playback. Player and site compatibility can vary; contact support if it still does not work.
What does Premium include?
Premium is designed for parties of up to 20 people, profile customization and a Premium badge. Check the pricing section for launch availability. GIFs, voice/video chat and ad-free benefits are planned for later, not included at launch.
